Kayla began her dance career at the age of four by participating in recreational tap and ballet.  Shortly after, she started dancing competitively in tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and pointe at Dance Connection in Rosemount, MN.  During her middle school and high school years at studio, Kayla also became an assistant teacher for the Dance Connection. Kayla was a member of her high school's fall dance team, as well as being involved in Onstage, and a student lead dance show at Rosemount High School. Her favorite style of dance is lyrical as she always felt she can express herself the best through this style.
